   Thank you very much Phil, but what I am looking for is a transmission   
   diffuser, something like an opal, but not made from silica.   
   I have already considered Labsphere integrating spheres and their Infragold   
   coating, but in that case we would need a sphere with a tiny diameter   
   (<1 cm), which is not available.   
      
   Do you have any more suggestions?
