|    detectors for near UV    |
|    08 Dec 13 12:39:04    |
Dear all,              I'm looking for sensitive photon detector for near UV range in order to detect       cobtinuous nitrogen fluorescence emission between 300 and 400 nm with maximum       around 340 nm.       I know from literature that PMT could do the job, and notably in photon       counting mode ; but I would like to have more robust and maybe cheaper       alternative with solid-state detectors.       I don't necessarily need fast time response since the source is not pulsed...       Has anybody already tried Avalanche photodiode or Silicon Photomultiplier in       this specific UV range for low-light application ?              Thanks,               Eric              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
