   Then that's not software, but a website. [although to be   
   humorously pedantic, your browser is software, and is   
   required to access it, and it needs to be installed on   
   your computer - :) ]   
      
   But I think you're stuck with Google Groups. I know of no   
   other web based portal to general usenet. Although others   
   may exist, they seem to be limited in scope to specific   
   group topics.   
      
   Is there some reason for not wanting to install software?   
   Thunderbird is an email program that also handles usenet,   
   and is well known from a generally trusted source. XNews   
   is easily removed if you don't like it since it doesn't   
   hook into the OS with registry edits and the like. Just   
   delete the files and it's gone.   
      
   Or, let me guess, you don't HAVE a computer? But use a   
   tablet or "smart" phone?
