Hello all,              Thank you very much for your all kind messages.              Let me try to tell what I am after. I am interested on relief effect of       portraits made by some Leica lenses which all face and hand muscles and bones       been recorded more than eye can see. I have a 111mm f:1.5 Kodak Fluro Ektar       lens and it does have the        same effect.              I am an archaeologist not a optics educated person and wasted lots of years on       net to understand what causes that effect.              Than I found Hoffman effect which makes a phase visible. I thought I can test       a Leica from its design , glass details and each lens elements for each phase       with zernike.              Than I found an ELCAN paper on Summicron 50 with Code V test for each element.              Now I am after to simulate these CODE V aberrations on a image for each lens       element and see how lens processes the image and what causes what.              I have no optics software and will complete everything on open source math       software.              I cant access CODE V manuals and few reported there is no equivalents of       definitions AFAIK.              So I need your help to break the cipher.              Thank you very much,              Mustafa Umut Sarac       Istanbul              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
