   It's interesting to me that you put that into words. I waste time on   
   a chat board that has a lot of 'alternative thinkers', if you catch   
   my drift.   
      
   Every time I (or anyone on my 'side'*) tries to say something we get   
   shot at with accusations of believing in dogmatic authority. There   
   are those who literally belive that everything that is in the media   
   (or books, for that matter) is disinformation and misidrection from   
   the 'powers that be' and cannot be trusted. They only trust what's   
   in front of their eyes.   
      
   I've often wondered how they get through daily life being that paranoid   
   of everyone and everything.   
      
   *generally meaning those who use fact based critical and reasoned   
   thinking skills - science
