   what catches my eye is a large difference in wavelength discrimination with   
   NIR FTIR. When I first saw the comparaative spectra plots, I suspected the   
   effect was an artifact...(IOW peaks showed up in the ftir sample that weren't   
   there in the dispersive sample....)
