   Are my following thoughts correct or not?   
      
   1. Without changing any properties of the test apparatus, one of the QWP's   
   could be moved to the other side of the test sample, so that both QWP's are   
   next to each other.   
   2. Two QWP's next to each other act as an adustable waveplate with total   
   retardation between 0 and 1/2 wave.
