   Hi,all   
      
   I browsed thorlabs and found two kinds of reflector:   
      
   1: plano metallic mirros

   2: prism mirrors

   when they are used as simply beam reflectors, are they functioning the same?   
      
   I didn't see the difference from the picture below:

   but why they made such an optical prism mirror?
