As you may have concluded, from the sale of all my optics textbooks, I have   
   now left the optical industry for good. Over the 31 years I spent working for   
   companies like Rank, Dallmeyer, BAE Systems, GEC, Barr and Stroud and Thales,   
   I have accumulated a    
   great many components and subassemblies, all of which were rejects, but for   
   experimental or teaching purposes would I think be valuable. We're talking   
   about lenses (positive and negative), prisms, filters, fibreoptics,   
   objectives, old cameras etc. If    
   anyone would like to help me get rid of these, please make an arrangement to   
   meet me at my flat in Red Lion Square, ASAP, and come and see what you would   
   like to take away. Free of charge. Anything not disposed of will be scrapped.
