Hello, all, and I should like to correct some errors in my previous
   post. It should've read:

Hello, and at the risk of over simplification, if it behaves like a
force in the Newtonian sense, then it is a force. From a cause and
effect (e.g., the ability to do work on a mass) standpoint the genesis
of the force is irrelevant. It's akin to the vector (cross) product in
3D being a "pseudo" (axial) vector (and not a tensor) as opposed to
being a "real" (polar) vector. The vector product has both magnitude
and direction, so it fits that definition of a vector and works quite
well in applied math/engineering. The analogy here is axial vector =
fictitious force and polar vector = real force.

   Sorry for the confusion. Sincerely,
