   True but each cyclist has hid own power limits depending on native   
   ability and training. The competitive racer could easily stay even with   
   rider B while I, the aging weekend duffer, may have trouble staying up   
   with rider A.  Given any group of riders following the same path, each   
   will have their own results at the end of the day even though all of   
   them expended the same amount of energy.
