From: helbig@asclothestro.multivax.de              If a post to the group is rejected by the moderators, the poster will       receive an email stating the reasons, but of course only if a valid       email address is given.              It is OK to have a spam block in the email address, i.e. some change       which the moderators can easily decode but which spam software might       stumble over, but the moderators will not go to your web page or       whatever to find your email address.              (These days, spammers rarely harvest email addresses from usenet, and       it it also easier than in the past to prevent spam email from reaching       the intended recipient, so it is a good idea to weigh up the advantages       and disadvantages of posting with a valid email address, or at least a       disguised one which the moderators can decode.)              This notice was prompted by a rejected post from someone who seems to be       familiar with usenet, but of course applies to everyone Else as well.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
