   Not as easy to read because we're used to standard clocks, but a   
   little practice goes a long way.  I call it the "space clock" now   
   because it's equally easy to read it from any angle -- whereas   
   standard clocks expect to be read with the "12" on top.  See a test

   It's best used in near-Earth space so isn't any better with siderial   
   time than a standard clock.
