Marvin: Actually I have complex auditory and visual hallucinations
that are indistinguishable from reality. My experiences involve being
cursed by two total strangers standing 3 feet away from me, being
called compound curse words by another bunch of youths sixty miles
away from the first location, being called "Jew", "Hebe", "Sub-Human",
"Swine", and other epithets on various occasions. People have
expressed hostility, anti-Antisemitism, sarcasm, and even sympathy.
People have said all sorts of interesting things to me over the years.
So does this prove I'm insane? Well, to some people it does, because
they cannot think of a reason for the behavior I've witnessed. So
because they lack imagination, or deductive skills, they say the
experiences must be hallucinations. And from there, they deduce that
I must be mentally ill and paranoid as well.
This is a perfect example of how diagnosis should NOT be made.

You just feel superior to those around you so you developed your
   personal psychosis.

However, if you thought about it and the personal cost to you in your
life you would promptly come to the conclusion it wasn't worth it.
