THAT is the point.              Good heavens you're stupid!              The blasted article THAT YOU KEEP REFERENCING says *EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE*!!!!!!              The Conclusion clearly states, "The incidence of suicide in southeastern       Australia displays a clear seasonal pattern, being positively linked with       prevailing levels of sunlight." The Discussion section clearly states,       "Our observation of a strong association between suicide and sunlight       hours" Note that they say, "positively" linked, not "inversely."              And if THAT is too confusing for you (as most everything is) LOOK AT THE       BLINK'N *GRAPH* which clearly shows a nearly identical pattern of suicide       rate MATCHING the number of sunlight hours. In other words, as I've       stated several times now, this study shows that, in Australia anyhow,       suicides *INCREASE* with the increasing number of sunlight hours and       *DECREASE* with the decreasing number of sunlight hours.              God above! How can you claim to have read this article and not noticed       its primary findings? You keep thinking that you're being clever or       something by claiming S.A.D. and hoping that inverted seasons will prove       your point (and failing in that hope) all while simultaneously MISSING THE       FACT THAT THIS STUDY CONTRADICTS YOUR SPECIFIC POSITION!              The point is, this study shows, that suicides go way *DOWN* when it's dark       a lot. THAT is the point.              (IH)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
