   I haven't asked you a single question about Petraeus.
   I said your own Senator Reid supports Petraeus
   to replace McChrystal, and I predicted you would
   find fault with Petraeus in due time.

   good example of the hyper-exaggeration which supports
   your designation as commentator for the lunatic fringe.

   I suggest you should start your own political party.
   Create a web site and solicit donations for the cause,
   then hire yourself as party director.

   since when did you become the poster queen of accountability?

   > Stanley McChrystal was never a member of the real US Military,

   only if you discount the following aspects of his military career:
   1) graduated from U.S. Military Academy (West Point);
   2) served as platoon leader in 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment
      of the 82nd Airborne Division, United States Army;
   3) served as detachment commander, 7th Special Forces Group,
      United States Army;
   4) served as intel officer, United Nations Command Support
      Group, South Korea, United States Army;
   5) served as operations & liaison officer, 75th Ranger Regiment,
      United States Army;
   6) served as battalion commander, 504th Parachute Regiment,
      United States Army, then operations commander,
      82nd Airborne Division, United States Army.

   > but only and always a member of a "quasi-military" federal agency

   doesn't look like much is "quasi" about his miliary career.

   are you sure you're not thinking of that TV show (The Outer Limits)
   in the 1960's featuring actor Roy Thinnes?

   they liked to let viewers believe they had "quasi" control
   of their TV sets during the show.

   if I'm not mistaken, much of that show was set in the
   Nevada desert, too.

   oh you don't have to worry about a distinguished
   American career military man like Stanley McChrystal
   mistaking you for ordinary, honorable, patriotic, stay-at-home,
   or baking apple pie, much less for "the enemy"....

   all he, or anyone else, for that matter, has to do is read
   some of your usenet commentary.....

   no mistaking you're lunatic fringe, nothing more,
   nothing less....
