XPost: sci.med.psychobiology, soc.support.depression.manic, alt.       upport.depression.manic       XPost: alt.support.schizoaffective       From: dalton@nfld.com              My low years (low in terms of creativity and in terms of delusion)       began on Jan. 29, 1996. The first 1.5 years were the worst       partly because I was still drinking 1--9 days before full moon,       and since I have kept my drinking outside that time period       I have had no alcohol triggered or alcohol worsened       mixed/psychotic episodes. Furthermore an addition of       a topup of olanzapine to my lithium reduced problems even       more.              Based on a comparison to past figures and an analysis of the       sunspot cycle I expected the low years to last seven years       and end in early 2003. However that did not occur and       the low years have now lasted nearly 16 years. I think       I have had to go so long because I have had access to       modern medicine. The longest similar period of a past       figure I have come across is the exile of Rama to the       forest for 14 years so I speculate that he had access to       the Hindu antipsychotic root that someone mentioned to       me once on I think misc.health.alternative .              If the sunspot cycle has to line up with my sun stare of       1991 then my low years might have to last until late       2013 or early 2014 for a total of 18 years. But I am       hoping that the low years will end sooner, with a       renewal of my creativity and a diminishment of delusion.              All of this is discussed in more detail on my       Salmon on the Thorns web page (see below).              --       David Dalton dalton@nfld.com http://www.nfld.com/~dalton (home page)       http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/nf.html Newfoundland&Labrador Travel & Music       http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/dtales.html Salmon on the Thorns (mystic page)        "Here I go again...back into the flame" (Sarah McLachlan)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
