On Wednesday I met with my       psychiatrist and asked him to switch me from Epival to Lamictal since the       Epival has been causing gradual hair loss and gradual weight gain. He put me       off, saying that Lamictal is not a good mood stabilizer for bipolar type 1       and that I should get my family doctor to refer me to a dermatologist about       the hair loss. However it is my understanding from online research that       Lamictal is a good mood stabilizer, so I think he just doesn't want to bother       with the switch, especially since I have been doing well on the current       medication regimen for the last 5.5 years. Have any of you had good       experiences with Lamictal for bipolar type 1?              --       David Dalton dalton@nfld.com http://www.nfld.com/~dalton (home page)       http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/dtales.html Salmon on the Thorns (mystic page)       â€śYonder stands your orphan with his gun/Crying like a fire in the sun/Look       out the saints are comin' through/And it's all over now, Baby Blue" (Dylan)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
