   September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day .   
      
   Please hold on, anyone thinking of committing suicide.   
      
   The only time I seriously considered it was during early waxing   
   crescent moon in early July, 1992. At the time I was on   
   lithium and haloperidol. I was going to take a full bottle of   
   lithium, some cold or allergy medicine, and some alcohol.   
      
   However after having a small amount of alcohol I felt a   
   bit better and called my psychiatrist and he told me to stop   
   taking the haloperidol. I did so, and after that I used haloperidol   
   only as needed, not on a regular basis. (I am now on moderate   
   doses of divalproex and olanzapine.)
