Look up the definitions of god. What was considered to be god/gods. In the
old time. Not some abbreviated definition that opposes a Supreme Being.
   For instance
Drugs are a god to the druggie
Booze is the god of the alcoholic.
Sex is the god to the sexually depraved, etc.
Money is a god to those that are in love with money and seeks great wealth
Fast Cars, exclusive cars, etc, are a god to those who are driven to the
biggest baddest, or the most elegant, etc.
Judges and Rulers are a god to those who come before them.
Bullies are a god to be feared by the weak.

While these things are not intrinsically bad, or evil, when they are the
master of ones life it becomes a god to them. Same with good luck charms,
amulets, lucky pennies that some always carry with them.

Satan the god of this world everyone grew up with and he is the originator of
bad or evil thoughts and actions, he is the father/motivator of all lies. And
part of his tool pouch is the use of all the things I listed and yet there is
far more. Like those that seek Power.

These things are norm to all men. Yet few ‘see; them as they are and often
wonder why they behave certain ways as certain times. Yet they themselves
determine themselves to be the god of their life, like the guy that proudly
sang, “I did it my way”. Even some religious people think that and that
they can earn a spot in heaven. That will never happen.
