The almighty algorithm       exists to feed you ideas. You can argue "Products & services" but it       actually is no more than ideas -- buy THIS! Believe THAT! Agree with       THEM!              > Short version: Without book printing there wouldn't have been any witch       > hunts.              Yes and no. The witch "Craze" likely could never happen but there's       plenty of evidence for humans ferreting out "Causes" of plagues,       droughts (etc) and executing them, going back well before books. The       issue is that books allow you to record this shit and then send it       across vast distances and even time itself!              Yes, someone can pick up your book ten or even 50 years later, and       "Learn" all that "Knowledge" that others didn't know and thus makes       you special...              But social media was created to manipulate you. It's not that it can       be used against it, it's that it was engineered to manipulate you.                            --       https://jtem.tumblr.com/tagged/The%20Book%20of%20JTEM/page/5              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
