   Science is not infallible; some predictions have been wrong.  The   
   central thesis is, however, still that of physicalism; in other words,   
   "the Universe doesn't give a shit."  Which means, "whole island nations"   
   may, indeed, slowly sink beneath the waves.  Time will tell.
