   Turn back the clock to the George Dubya Bush years and not   
   one jackass ranting about "Climate Crisis" had any doubt that   
   the scientific grant process was POLITICAL. That, if you   
   wanted the grant money you did work -- and got results -- that   
   the people signing your checks wanted to see.   
      
   They even made a movie about it. You can rent it, even on that   
   job at Starbucks, and watch it yourself. But, try to watch it   
   with others, people who can explain it to you as it goes along:   
      
   "A Flock of DoDos."   
      
   There's one great scene in particular where these scientists   
   are all sitting around, playing poker, and talking about this   
   very issue!  At that time, under George Dubya Bush, the big   
   issue wasn't Gwobull Warbling, it was evolution. Bush owed a   
   lot to the Religious Reich, the fundies hate evolution and   
   love creationism, even invented "Intelligent Design" to   
   pretend that creationism isn't religion... but if you wanted   
   them to sign the checks for you, you avoided evolution.   
      
       ...I even recall one money-brubbing ass lick of a   
   "Scientist" who spewed some paper on how Darwin's "Pangenesis"   
   was real, instead of the pseudo scientific nonsense we all   
   know it is....   
      
   Money.   
      
   We've had proof of the corrupting power of money, we've had   
   proof of how what we think of "Science" is more often politics   
   and we've had this proof for DECADES. At least.   
      
   And it's not just evolution and Gwobull Warbling either.   
      
   I'm CONSTANTLY complaining about the fake "Science" they label   
   "Paleo anthropology."   
      
   "Paleo Anthropology" it so "Anthropology" what "Biblical
