   Which begs the question:  Why would you, HOW could you then believe   
   you know are lying to you?

   Well. "Kill people." That would work.   
      
   But there is one single "Alternative" that could provide WAY more energy   
   than we'd ever need:  Geothermal.   
      
   The earth it pocked with hot spots, MASSIVE "super volcanoes" the likes   
   of which can destroy all of civilization. And what's worse?  They're   
   active. Right now. It's not an "If" they detonate, releasing the energy   
   of (a conservatively estimated) 100,000 nuclear weapons, it's a matter   
   of "When."   
      
   The last one was over 20,000 years ago, and it aligned EXACTLY with what   
   we call "Glacial Maximum." In other words, all the sky darkening smoke &   
   soot combined with all the sunlight-killing sulfur cooled the planet so   
   much and for so long that the glaciers grew out to their maximum extant.   
      
   Each one is the equivalent to nuclear reactions -- a lot of nuclear   
   reactors. Each of these hot spots can power just as many plants as you   
   can squeeze in. And, who knows? By doing so we may draw off enough   
   energy to keep them from detonating & destroying mankind, or even   
   civilization.   
      
   Problem is? Do it wrong, *Pop* the bubble of one of these calderas and   
   you just CREATED, you CAUSED the extinction level events you hoped you   
   might avoid...   
      
   Then again, if you don't do it, Yellowstone keeps growing at, as the   
   current pace, we don't have 300 years. We have a lot less.   
      
   RISK:  Destroying all of western civilization itself, and killing the   
   vast majority of humanity, if not causing our extinction as a species.   
      
   (When Toba exploded more than 70k years ago, the claim is that only a   
   few thousand humans survived. These were very PRIMITIVE people living   
   in small groups. They had ZERO dependence on technology, trade or   
   other groups. We'd all die)

   It's not hot. Gwobull Warbling looks at a tiny, cherry picked fraction   
   of the Holocene, comparing it to itself, and then screams "It's doesn't   
   match."   
      
   The reason why it doesn't compare the post industrial period to the   
   pre industrial is because the narrative is shattered... "It was hotter   
   BEFORE we started burning these fossil fuels!"   
      
   The reason why it doesn't compere the Holocene to the previous   
   interglacial, comparing our reality to a world where Neanderthals   
   ruled Europe and there was no "Modern" ANYTHING, is because it   
   shatters the narrative.   
      
   You acknowledge that they're lying to you. STOP believing them already!
