From: snidely.too@gmail.com              Just this Saturday, JF Mezei puzzled about:              > At what point will they start to need proper launch pad with flame       > trenches, water sprays to reduce noise etc? I would have though this       > would have been work that would have been started early since it       > requires a lot of digging, concrete etc.              It's been started. You can't see much of it from the livestreams since       they mostly focus on the test stand. However, Mary (boca chica gal)       has some segments showing the big dumptrucks going through the gate,       and some of the scrapers working farther off.              ISTR that Hopper's resting place is the hard stand it used (just a       concrete pad and some piping, I think) or maybe the landing zone it       used.              I'll be interested to see if the next hop test starts on the stand and       ends on a pad, or if they have a transporter ... or just a flatbed       truck; after all, SN5 didn't hop over from assembly.              /dps              --       Ieri, oggi, domani              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
