   Which book to buy?

I just got through Bate, Mueller & White: Fundamentals of Astrodynamics.
GREAT book, lots of interesting stuff, but it's strictly about orbit
dynamics, and almost not a single sentence about rockets. You can't even
look up the word "exhaust velocity" in the index.

So now, I'm looking for a book about the physics behind rocket engines. I've
found a couple, but I don't know which one to buy (perhaps I should just buy
them all!) Some of these books are pretty broad, which I don't mind, so I
guess I'm just looking for some advice about what book (which books) to buy,
and, perhaps more importantly, which NOT to buy.

A first search on Amazon came up with these:

Curtis: Orbital Mechanics for Engineering Students
Fortescue, Stark & Swinerd: Spacecraft Systems Engineering
   Hale: Introduction to Space Flight
   Prussing & Conway: Orbital Mechanics
   Roy: Orbital Motion
Sutton & Biblarz: Rocket Propulsion Elements
   Thomson: Introduction to Space Dynamics

Does anyone have any experience with these books?
