   Hmm. His model - as I understand it - says that the blueberries are   
   "splash", not residue of the actual impact. As such, the variable size   
   of meteorite impact doesn't really enter into it - I don't offhand know   
   what droplet-size is controlled by, but I'd guess that most muddy   
   droplets thrown up as spray would be of roughly the same size.   
      
   (A further detail is that he assumes it high in the atmosphere; this   
   provides an upper bound, because a particularly large glob of mud simply   
   wouldn't get that high. And then the dessication would, presumably, kill   
   off the smaller ones fastest... I dunno. The size issue seems to hold up   
   at a first glance.)
