   Then you could just attach that module directly, without the shuttle.

   That would mean a 70t mass penalty for a very small gain in   
   pressureized volume.  You would also have the problem of where to   
   dock without obstructing access to the new crew transfer vehicle.   
      
   I just can't see such a scheme to have any merit except maybe, if   
   space tourism could be made to return a profit, as a sort of museum   
   as suggested by Karl Hallowell.
