   We must hope that designers appreciate the reliability benefits of   
   having all engines running at liftoff.  Relying upon single-use   
   air-start engines is a guarantee that 1% or so of payloads will be lost.   
   Compared to that the reduced ISP of engines at sea level is a small   
   price to pay.  Fuel is cheap; payloads are not.
