Hello all,   
      
   I am trying to discern how super-hydrophobic surface actually work.  I   
   understand that it is how the water droplet sees the solid/liquid/gas   
   interfaces but why does this work and why do the hierarchal structures make a   
   surface super-hydrophobic like that    
   of the lotus leaf?
