I have been taking inositol tablets and myo-inositol in loose form for a
little over 6 months. I have managed to drop 45 pounds and keep it off using
this particular Vitamin B. Unlike normal people, my body doesn't produce
   enough inositol to keep my
metabolism burning the fat, so I have to supplement it. I disagree with the
person who wrote 'it's really not essential'. If you're female and have PCOS,
it is very likely your body does not produce enough inositol and that's part
   of the reason it's easy
to pack on the pounds. Even some males have a problem getting their body to
produce enough inositol but it's much less common. Take it from a person who
has low inositol and has had to do their research and finally am getting
   results. Oh, and the 45
pounds I lost...I didn't change anything about my diet or exercise plans and
it just falls off. This is something I plan to continue doing for the rest of
   my days.
