   Bunker or 6 oil is 5% sulfur and 3% of CO2 from petroleum comes from ships   
   burning this filthy cheap fuel -- 1/2 the cost of 2 oil -- in 2 stroke diesel   
   engines.   
      
   The petroleum ratio is something like 670 tons of CO2 to 1 ton SO2.   
      
   Assume all volcanic, coal and industrial sources of SO2 and CO2 have been   
   eliminated.   
      
   Compare the acidification of the ocean due to the SO2 and CO2 from petroleum.
