Assume 20X more CO2 is emitted from ships than SO2 from ships then consider
33X more CO2 is coming from other petroleum sources than CO2 from ships then
   you get the ratio of CO2 to SO2 ~ 33 X 20 or 660 in petroluem. (Ignore SO2
   and CO2 from coal, nat.
   gas and volcanoes.)

What lowers ocean pH more? The SO2 from petroleum or the CO2 from petroleum?

Does a large amount of weak acid lower ocean pH more than the much smaller
   amount of the strong acid?
