   This is (except for the "magic thinking") what lockdowns and quarantine do,   
   remove the infected from other humans, to stop the spread.  If you are   
   surrounded by plants only, then you are a vegan.  Other mammals can get   
   coronaviruses, which have been in    
   our biome for about 10,000 years.  (Influenza is much younger.)   
      
   If we did not exceed 1 billion humans in the world, and did not carry diseases   
   with us in tens of hours across the globe, COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-2 might not   
   have left China.  They'd have had a large region with lots of deaths, and   
   mostly only young people...   
    like the white man did to Hawaii.
