In the past year several researchers have demonstrated that
the human fingerprints on climate change are now clearly present in
weather data. Normally scientists had warned the noise in climate data
was loud enough to drown out any warming signal unless you had at least
30y worth of data, But the signal has grown exponentially over the past
100+ years and now statistically stands out in monthly or even
daily temperature, rainfall, storms occurence, etc.

   No wonder it's 5-sigma (i.e. a prob of being "wrong" around 0.00003%).

Searched for and found: climate researchers can now detect the fingerprint
of global warming in daily weather observations at the global scale.
