      XPost: alt.global-warming              As the buzzing around the US coasts probably indicates to even the       most qualified hillbilly, world ocean surface temps are warm. A       couple weeks back they broke into record territory and are now headed       even higher, not leaving much room for a Presidential-style rowback.              The global avg SST from the IR sats was +.75C relative to 1980s avg in       the last 24 hrs, and has been increasing for the past 10-14 days.              The avg for the last 2 wks has been around +.71C. For the last 4 wks       the avg has been around +.72C.
