   Hadley has updated its Central England Temperature series to the end   
   of Sept 2020.   
      
   The monthly avg temp series -- the longest-running temp series in the   
   world started in the 17th cent -- shows Sept 2020 was 13.9C across   
   Central England and ranked 118th Sept out of the 342 in the data series.   
      
   But the warmest single Sept day in 2020 was 27.4C and that ranked   
   equal 5th out of the 4290 Sept days in the dataset.   
      
   Somewhat arguing that averages may be increasing at one rate but   
   increases in extremes may be increasing much faster.
