   Such a welcome relief after all these years of bizarre insanity.   
      
   The 60 votes required to pass most legislation in the Senate will   
   prevent major initiatives like healthcare reform, but a lot of things   
   can move under 'reconciliation' with just 51 votes. Schumer will   
   be Senate leader which means all the legislation from the House can   
   at least reach the floor for a vote. The Dems will chair all of the   
   Senate committees, and Biden can appoint federal judges. I predict   
   a flurry of resignations from elderly GOP senators who don't want   
   to bother sitting on the back bench at the end of their careers.
