   The UW has posted an update to their PIOMAS series.   
      
   They find for Dec 2020 Arctic seaice volume was about 11800 km3   
   ranking 2nd-lowest on the sat record.   
      
   Using the NASA Realtime est of Arctic extend that works out to an ice   
   thickness for the month barely over 1m.   
      
   It's generally believed an Arctic ice thickness of <1m can not survive   
   the annual freeze/melt cycle without "additional input of ice".
