      XPost: alt.global-warming              The NOAA has updated its ERSSTv5 gridded dataset for the world's sea       surf temp.              While no regional averages or trends are published with the update my       calculations show global SST in Dec 2020 according to the dataset was       around .29C above the baseline period (approx ~1980s avg temps)       ranking the month as the 9th warmest in the past 167 years.              The warmest regions were again the North Pole and N Hem at +.47 and       +.58C above normal.
