   Hadley has updated its HADCRUT data series to the end of 2020.   
      
   It finds Dec was unbearably cold at +.51C above the series   
   1961-1990 baseline (i.e. approx 1980s avgs) and scored 10th-warmest   
   Dec for the globe in the last 171y.   
      
   For the year the GL averaged almost .77C above normal ranking   
   2nd-warmest since 1850. The NHem was +1.12C above normal ranking   
   record warmest since 1850 while the SHem averaged +.42 and ranked #6.
