   According to the sat IR data Jan 2021 has been a bit cooler than most   
   of the past decade. Given the La Nina compared with recent super El   
   Nino's that's not a big surprise.   
      
   According to my calcs the areal avg SST for Jan 2021 has come in at   
   .4493C above the Hadley baseline making it the 6th warmest in the past   
   171 years and wedged between 2010 and 2015 in the rankings.
