   The NOAA has updated its data series to the end of Jan 2021.  It finds   
   the global avg temp was .48C above their 70-2k baseline making it the   
   7th warmest Jan since 1880.   
      
   For the first time in years no region broke a record.  The N Temp   
   region ocean saw +.73C which was a #2.   
      
   Despite the terrible terrible La Nina cold the N Pole continued to   
   blast away with the Arctic ocean more than 2C above normal.   
      
   6 regions in the list of 22 recorded anomalies ~1C or more above their   
   ~1980s averages incl the Tropics that was .97C above normal.
