XPost: alt.global-warming              The UW has updated its PIOMAS Arctic seaice volume to end of Feb 2021.              It finds the vol for the month was 19122 km3 making it the 3rd-lowest       Feb in the 43y sat record.              From the PIOMAS vol and NASA-RT Arctic extent was can estimate the       average thickness of seaice at 1.343 about equal 5th thinnest for Feb       since records began in 1979. The trend shows a decline of around       1.3+-0.2 cm per year across the dataset pointing to the critical       1m thickness being reached within 30y.              The Top 10 lowest tables are now:              Feb Arc seaice volume       Year Vol (000s km3)       2017 17.366       2018 18.639       2021 19.122 <-- #3       2013 19.318       2011 19.32       2020 19.566       2012 19.585       2016 19.592       2019 19.781       2014 19.85              Feb Arc seaice thickness       Year Thickness (m)       2017 1.2299       2013 1.3124       2020 1.3328       2018 1.3342       2021 1.3428 <-- #5       2011 1.3454       2012 1.3460       2019 1.3746       2014 1.3766       2016 1.3797              --       Rolls-Royce Gets One Step Closer To The Fastest Electric Plane       CleanTechnica, 09 Mar 2021 23:06Z       When most people think of Rolls-Royce, they think of really expensive but       ancient-looking cars.
