|    [Web Feed] Career Switch to GIS    |
|    19 Mar 21 14:18:23    |
From: feed.supplier@somewhere.cbr              Hello,              I am looking to possibly switch my current career field to a GIS field. I       currently work as a Environmental Scientist for a consulting company. I       graduated from West Virginia University in 2018 with a B.S. in Environmental       Resources Management. I have        been at the same consulting company since I graduated; making it three years       in May. I have always been interested in GIS since I took multiple classes in       it during my time at WVU.              I dont really have any working experience in GIS aside from using mapping       programs (ex. eMapPA, USCS Soil Survey Mapping; I work in Pennsylvania) while       at my current job. I learned how to use ArcGIS while in school but haven't       used it since then. With my        background, is it reasonable to attempt a career change? There has been       multiple GIS positions that have opened in my area and I'd like to see what I       can get into. Any advice would be great. Thanks!                     --       Generated automatically from a Web feed              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
