You seem to have cut whatever. Skert?

The US fossil industries are subsidised to the tune of about $8000 per
   househouse each year.
The industry overall survives on tax breaks and direct payments to
the tune of 3,4,5 times their actual revenue.
By sheer coincidence this is about an economic efficiency around
the same as the efficiency of most internal combision engines.
When you pay $100 for a tank of fas at the pump it must give you
a fuzzy warm feeling that $80 of it just goes to cause pollution and
doesn't push the car along at all.
Any other industry with that kind of "surcharge" would have been put
out of bidness long ago. Fortunately, it's mostly run along monopolistic lines.
