   If a question is relevant to four groups then by all means post it in   
   those four groups.   
      
   But if a particular answer is not relevant to some of those groups,   
   then in replying to that answer, set follow-ups to go only to those   
   groups where the discussion is relevant.   
      
   If someone in one of the groups where follow-ups are not set responds   
   in a way that makes it relevant to that group again, they can always   
   reset the follow-ups to their message to include that group again.   
      
   Thread drift means that something can drift from being on-topic to   
   off-topic to on-topic again, but if it stays off-topic in any group,   
   set follow-ups to exclude that group from further discussion.
