   I wasn’t familiar with »Schwur« but of course knew »schwören.« Can’t   
   comment on

   I hate bank holidays, they mean I have to do five days’ work in the course of   
   four. This is not a widely-shared attitude. Today hasn’t been too bad, but   
   usually the Tuesday after a bank holiday is horrendous.
