   This sentence is _not_ "imbecilic", and it *is* grammatically correct.

   Incorrect.  There are two equivalent terms: "rotational ellipsoid" or   
   "ellipsoid of revolution".  This surface is called so because it is produced   
   by rotating an ellipse around one of that ellipse's major axes:
