Once again: One rotates an ellipse by 180° around one of its major axes.
The surface that one obtains that is traced by all the points then is called
an *ellipsoid*. Since it was obtained by rotation, it is called a
*rotational* ellipsoid. It can be (and is) also called "ellipsoid of
revolution" because the rotation of the ellipse can be understood as all of
its points revolving in circles around said major axis.

There is no surface before the ellipse is rotated/its points revolve.

Which is why only you claim it. Straw man argument.

No, you don't. Just read the article carefully.

I am not "your man". You have been and continue to be a PITA in this
   newsgroup (sci.physics.relativity) and others.
